A little bit about mimi

Mimi Bakes Things

Raised in Queens, now residing in Guilderland, New York, Mimi is Baking up Things! 

I have always had a knack in creating and sharing things. It started with Origami- taking a plain piece of paper and folding it them into beautiful objects. Fast forward a few years, baking came into the picture. Thanks to my sister-in-law and couple of core childhood friends (and later my darling partner), baking developed from a fascination to a hobby, and now to a business. 

I love getting requests and challenges of new recipes- hence that I bake things- Mimi Bakes Things. No limitations what those things are. "Here's the latest things I baked" (with the cheesiest shy smile you will ever see, holding out a box of goods). Chocolate chip cookies. Cheesecakes. Scones. Vanilla Cakes. Chocolate Cakes. Macaroons. Macarons. Sugar Cookies. 

And of course sharing- sharing is the best part of why I bake. Food is life; food is saying "I love you". Sharing food is how we showed that we care in our culture. It is an expression that helped me navigate through my life- the baked goods will always be part of a solution to any problem. 

To bring a smile to my friends', family's, and customers' face is why I choose to continue to bake. It is my passion and joy and an honor to be able to share my baked creations with others.
